Bernhard Köhler

Dr. Köhler is the founder and CEO of several important international real estate and infrastructure fund companies. He founded Swisslake AG, based on the lake of Zürich and one of the leading fund-of-funds and off-market specialist in 2004. Before this activity he was Member of the Board and Partner of HCI, one of the largest German fund companies for closed ended funds, especially for ship financing, real estate, renewable energies, infrastructure and private equity.

Prior to this Dr. Köhler was Head of Controlling and M&A of the Heinrich Heine Group, which is part of the international well known Otto-Group, specialised in mail order and internet business. Before this, he started his carrier as a banker and finished university as Diplom-Kaufmann in Business Administration.

Till today Dr. Köhler has initiated real estate and infrastructure transactions of about 7 bn US-Dollars. He has an experience of more than 25 years in the fund business and is one of the pioneers in global real estate activities originated by fund of funds and initiated more than 40 funds during his professional carrier. In 1996 Dr. Köhler was finishing his doctorate/PHD in economics specialising on the “Internationalisation of the Germany money policy” at the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Deutschland.

In addition to this Dr. Köhler is a passionate in wines and therefore bought his own vineyard, Château Moyau, of 52 hectars on the Mediteranean coast in the South of France. As a passionate he is creating high quality wines and established Château Moyau as one of the leading wine brands in Europe.
